Mis Pensamientos

“Someday all that’s crazy / All that’s unexplained / Will fall into place / And someday all that’s hazy / Through a clouded glass / Will be clear at last / And sometimes we’re just waiting / For someday.” -Nichole Nordeman, "Someday"

My New Obsession

Ok, so I hardly ever watch TV. Movies, yes, because I have a subscription to Netflix, bur actual TV shows, not so much. Used to watch ER for years but it's been at least 8 months or so since I watched that. Sometimes I'll watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition. I just don't have time to watch much TV. So the last thing I needed was to get hooked on a TV show. But for our Easter series at church, it was a "Lost" theme and for our actual Easter service the drama was also based on the TV show, with our actors playing the characters. So that got me curious about it, but seeing as it's already the second season and the end of the second season at that, I was way far behind and out of the loop. But this past Sunday my cousin loaned me the 1st season on DVD and I actually just finished watching it today. Yes, I got through the entire season in less than a week. I am totally hooked!! This is like the best show ever!! The problem is that the second season doesn't come out on DVD until Sept 5 and I need to watch the second season before I start watching the 3rd season, which I am assuming will start in Sept or Oct. So my mission is to track down the whole second series before then. Problem is I don't have any way to record them because I just have a regular DVD player, not a recorder, and I don't have a VHS anymore because I gave it to my best friend in Nicaragua. So if anyone reading this has any suggestions, please let me know! :)

I took this picture at Ground Zero this weekend. It's not a great picture, but you can see the cross what was formed from some of the beams from the building. I guess when the WTC collapsed, the beams were standing in the shape of the cross like that, so they left it. It was really powerful to be there and see the empty space where the buildings used to be. Very sad. I was only in the city for an hour, so we didn't stay long at Ground Zero. I flew up to New York with my cousin Patti for our Aunt's Golden Jubilee. She's been a nun for 50 years so there was a celebratory mass and then a party back at the convent. Our flight got in early so we had a couple of hours before we needed to be at my cousin Mary's house so we went into the city to see Ground Zero.
The night before, I'd seen United 93 . I had not seen the Flight 93 movie that had been on A&E, so I have no way to compare the two, but United 93 did stay with me after I left the theatre. I cried a lot througout the film.
